Carrot Tower Defense Tier List
Best bunny towers ranked by overall impact, mode relevance, and June 2026 balance — updated after major patches.
Last checked: June 2026
This Carrot TD tier list ranks every bunny tower in S, A, B, and C tiers for general progression, Extreme Mode, and endgame wave clear. Rankings reflect June 2026 balance after the update introducing Goo Rabbit, Ninja Rabbit, and 40-wave Extreme difficulty. Tier placement weighs single-target DPS, AoE coverage, economy value, support utility, and summon availability — not just raw damage numbers.
How We Rank Units
S-tier bunnies define meta teams and justify chase summons. A-tier units appear in most winning loadouts. B-tier towers work early or in specific map/matchups. C-tier entries are outclassed but may still help brand-new accounts with zero summons. Rankings shift when Crumbling Crunchy Games patches stats — recheck after updates listed on latest update.
Role context matters: Farmer Bunny ranks A-tier for economy despite low DPS. Consult the full all units list for ability text and the summon guide for acquisition odds.
S-Tier — Best in Slot
- Carrot Magician (Epic, AoE) — Powerful magic-based AoE bunny that dominates mid-game waves when fully upgraded.
- Goo Rabbit (Epic, Hybrid) — Sprays goo patches on the track that slow and damage nibblers. Can place multiple patches after upgrades. Featured summon rate: 1.5%.
- Ninja Rabbit (Legendary, DPS) — Ultra-rare piercing attacker that shoots through multiple nibblers in a line. Featured summon rate: 0.1%.
A-Tier — Strong and Reliable
- Sniper Bunny (Starter, Sniper) — Long-range single-target damage dealer effective against high-HP nibblers on straight path segments.
- Farmer Bunny (Common, Economy) — Generates in-match carrots over time. Essential for scaling into mid and late waves.
- Boom Rabbit (Rare, AoE) — Explosive area damage effective against clustered nibblers and carrier spawns.
- Nerd Rabbit (Rare, Support) — Support unit that enhances nearby towers or debuffs enemies depending on upgrade path.
- Steve Herz (Epic, Hybrid) — Unique bunny with versatile upgrade paths; strong in mixed compositions.
B-Tier — Situational or Early Game
- Bonker Bunny (Starter, DPS) — The default melee bunny with two upgrade paths: a fast-attacking route or a heavy-hitting route.
- Slinger Bunny (Common, DPS) — Throws sharp carrots at nibblers for consistent ranged DPS at moderate range.
- Bling Bunny (Uncommon, Hybrid) — Stylish bunny with balanced stats; works as a filler DPS when stronger units are unavailable.
- Criminal Bunny (Rare, DPS) — High burst damage bunny suited for eliminating priority targets quickly.
- Gym Bunny (Rare, DPS) — Tankier melee bunny that scales well on longer maps with sustained waves.
S-Tier Deep Dive
Goo Rabbit
Goo Rabbit earns S-tier for map control. Goo patches slow and damage nibblers, stacking up to three to five zones after upgrades. On bend-heavy maps like Deep Tunnels and Woodlands, slows multiply effective DPS from behind-line towers. Approximately 1.5% summon rate when in rotation — worth saving carrots. Counters fast leaks and sets up boss burns. Pair with Farmer Bunny economy from the economy build.
Ninja Rabbit
Ninja Rabbit's piercing shots hit every nibbler in the projectile line — unmatched single-column clear and boss DPS spike. At 0.1% summon rate, it is the rarest standard pull; expect hundreds to thousands of attempts on average (use the summon calculator). Mandatory consideration for Extreme Mode where one leak ends the run. S-tier despite acquisition pain because one copy transforms wave 30+ stability.
Carrot Magician
Magic carrot blasts provide reliable AoE without setup time Goo Rabbit needs. Carrot Magician spikes mid-game waves when upgraded and synergizes with Nerd Rabbit support debuffs. Easier to obtain than Ninja Rabbit, making it the practical S-tier goal for players without ultra-rare luck.
A-Tier Staples
Farmer Bunny — Nearly mandatory economy; A-tier because no match scales without carrot income. Sniper Bunny — Starter that remains relevant on straight Deep Tunnels segments and against high-HP targets pre-Magician. Boom Rabbit — AoE for carrier waves on special enemies. Nerd Rabbit — Support buffs/debuffs amplify S-tier cores. Steve Herz — Flexible hybrid paths for players lacking one specific S-tier.
B-Tier: Early Game and Fillers
Bonker Bunny, Slinger Bunny, Bling Bunny, Criminal Bunny, and Gym Bunny occupy B-tier. Bonker carries first wins with dual paths (see upgrade paths). Slinger and Bling bridge gaps before rare summons. Criminal and Gym offer burst and tank melee but fall off when Carrot Magician or Ninja Rabbit online. Replace gradually — do not over-invest carrots maxing B-tier when A/S pulls are close.
C-Tier Note
No unit currently sits in C-tier in the June 2026 data set — even B-tier starters remain useful for fresh accounts. Future nerfs or power creep may demote units; this section will populate when balance demands it.
Mode-Specific Tier Shifts
Extreme Mode (1 HP, 40 waves): S-tier plus Farmer Bunny minimum. Goo slow and Ninja pierce reduce leak risk. Details: Extreme build. Normal farming: A-tier economy and one AoE suffice until summon goals met. Boss waves: Prioritize Sniper, Criminal burst, and Magician — boss guide.
Team Building from the Tier List
- Slot one economy (Farmer Bunny) before chasing S-tier damage.
- Cover AoE (Boom Rabbit or Carrot Magician) before wave 15 carrier spikes.
- Add Goo Rabbit when map has long bends — Deep Tunnels.
- Chase Ninja Rabbit only after stable normal wins — noob to pro guide.
